Richard Nelson always ran a few "letters to the editor" in the PPC Journal, and here's one of the more memorable ones. -Joe- ------------------------------------------------------------------- PPC Junkie (Letter to the Editor) "PPC Calculator Journal" V8 N6 P11 (Aug-Dec 1981) Please send me information regarding membership in your club! I have been a longtime HP owner and a 41C and CV owner since they came out. Until two weeks ago I was about 2 months into W.C. Wickes' book, which is where I found out about you. Unfortunately my family forced me to give up my calculator and all of my accessories and books in a box to a friend for at least the next six months. I may paint, fix windows, mow the grass, communicate with the rest of the world, eat meals with the family, look into their eyes without a blank far-off stare, even read the paper, but NO CALCULATOR STUFF! Hopefully, my friend's wife will return it to me before the six months are up. I'm still having withdrawal pains, which are eased somewhat by finding your address and writing this letter. Name omitted to protect the guilty. P.S. I would appreciate a plain or un-"calcalator" marked envelope. Ed. Note: The appropriate material was sent in a plain envelope.
